Desired Skills and Experience
- You will work together with the devops team to maintain our cloud-based infrastructure and improve how we deploy our apps.
- You will contribute to our infrastructure and application monitoring solutions (DataDog, ELK) and help prevent outages.
- You will write Ansible playbooks, infrastructure as a code, document work-flows and help us keep things up-to-date.
- You will dedicate part of your time to improve overall infrastructure performance and usability.
- You are proactive, open-minded and just awesome.
- You are experienced with AWS and know your way around VPCs, subnets, security groups and services like EC2, RDS, ElastiCache, CloudFront, Route53.
- You use Ansible a lot and can understand dynamic inventories, roles, vaults, handlers.
- You have advanced knowledge of Ubuntu/Debian based systems, with emphasis on security and networking.
- You’ve worked with distributed systems before.
- You’re able to configure Nginx for multiple use cases.
- Experience with running and deploying Ruby servers (Puma/Unicorn) or Node.js apps is a plus.
- Experience with managing, replicating or using MySQL, Postgres and/or ElasticSearch databases is a plus.
