- Monitor, tune, and scale cloud services to maintain optimal performance
- Manage security groups for cloud services
- Apply updates to containers and operating systems
- Manage data storage systems to ensure proper availability/archiving of time-series data
- Test and improve procedures for data backup and restoration
- Refine the automated generation of reports for clients
- Troubleshoot problems and document solutions
- Experience running an ELK stack (Elasticsearch/Logstash/Kibana)
- Experience configuring and managing AWS services, such as ECS, RDS, ALB, SSM, S3, Glacier, and CloudWatch
- Experience automating the configuration and orchestration of services, using tools such as Terraform and Packer
- Experience with Linux system administration
- Solid understanding of network and systems security
- Experience with a version control system, such as Git or Subversion
- Python programming experience
- Experience with PostgreSQL database administration
- Experience with continuous integration (CI) tools such as Jenkins
- Experience creating and deploying Docker images and virtual machines
- Experience with distributed messaging systems, such as RabbitMQ
- Experience with big data platforms, such as Splunk
