MailChimp is seeking application-focused engineers to join our Site Reliability Engineering team. As part of our team you will work directly with developers building our products and ensuring that performance, stability, and reliability are a core part of every release. The SRE team ensures operations run smoothly by implementing best practices and solidifying the methodology for deploying large scale web applications. The team also acts as a technical liaison between the other teams within MailChimp (Development and Operations).

Applicants should have strong Linux, independent troubleshooting skills, and a deep love for automation, monitoring, and configuration management. Web application development experience would also be a plus. We are looking for engineers that can contribute as an active member of a development unit while coordinating with our infrastructure team to ensure products are built to handle our scale and future growth. We don’t expect you to have used every tool we use, but a solid conceptual understanding is necessary. Skills and Experience
