Our SF team includes a number of PhDs with strong backgrounds in systems and machine learning. Combined with a great team of full stack and software engineers, we work together to build compelling experiences for our Get Found, SEO, Ads and Website Builder products.Requirements: * Skilled with Bash and at least one other scripting language (Python, Ruby, etc). * Experience with VMs and containers (we use OpenStack and Kubernetes) * Experience troubleshooting production issues in a wide-scale server environment * Deep understanding of how TCP/IP and the Network stack functions * You love automating manual processes * You are a documentation fanatic (ie. Code comments, process methodologies, etc.) * Heavy experience with *Nix systems (we use CentOS and Debian) * Knowledgeable with SQL query syntax and NoSQL (we use Postgres and Cassandra)Responsibilities: * Conduct performance analysis and monitoring of multiple hosting products/platforms * Identify, plan and implement solutions that continually improve performance to allow for the fastest hosting page load times in the industry * Automation development for infrastructure efficiencies across multiple products/platforms * Automation intelligence for alert responses * Capacity management for multiple products/platforms * Code contributions in languages such as Python, C/C++, Bash, Ruby * Performance tuning for Apache web server, TCP/IP & network stack, system/kernel level tuning, NFS * Alert response for performance and capacity related thresholds * On-call rotations and Incident call handlingGoDaddy is a proud equal opportunity employer!
