Description : At Keysight, we build the most precise and reliable electronic test and measurement tools in the industry. You will work with an elite team to help the company address quality and reliability issues. This team offers quality testing and design services. As an environment test engineer, you must understand the test standards, create test plans, perform environment tests, interpret the test results, document the test reports, and improve the quality by design. You will be responsible for the following: Interpret ENV requirements and develop ENV test plans.Perform mechanical testing: vibration and shock, both operational and non-operational aspectsPerform power line testing that includes: Voltage/Frequency/Power consumption, Surge/Sag, Harmonic Distortion, half and full-cycle drop-out testing and similar related tests.Perform climatic testing that includes thermal, humidity, thermal-shock, Altitude, Strife, ALT, and HALT testing.Perform magnetic testing, operating, non-operating using a fluxgate magnetometer and transportation testing; both vibration and shock are requirements. Perform acoustic testing of new products in an anechoic chamber.Perform reliability analysis of new products including but not limited to FMEA , Relex , and Monte Carlo Analysis.Perform thermography, robotic testing, and test fixture design are also requiredAct as a site contact for ENV issues with regulatory agencies.Prepare and file project ENV documents.Develop and implement Design for ENV plans.Influence the design of products and processes to assure ENV-compliant products that meet customer expectations and have the lowest possible Annualized Failure Rates.Provide product ENV education, training and process guidance to other functional areas or entities as needed.Independently appraise the ENV compliance of products and components. Provide feedback to development teams for any adjustments to product design.Be familiar enough with all product requirements to write test plans, recommend testing to other departments, have a working knowledge of PC office software and be able to learn and use software such as QATrax.Learn chamber maintenance and trouble shooting.BS degree in Electrical Engineering , Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline with demonstrated skill in the disciplines required for the position (which include electrical circuit analysis, mechanical testing, annualized failure prediction, etc).Demonstrated interpersonal and teamwork skills.Experience in dealing with standards and regulatory agencies regarding product approvals for environmental requirements.Knowledge of quality engineering processes or proceduresEnvironmental chamber maintenance is a big plus. Basic programming skills for instrument control to setup measurement automation. Qualifications : BS degree in Electrical Engineering , Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline with demonstrated skill in the disciplines required for the position (which include electrical circuit analysis, mechanical testing, annualized failure prediction, etc).Demonstrated interpersonal and teamwork skills.Experience in dealing with standards and regulatory agencies regarding product approvals for environmental requirements.Knowledge of quality engineering processes or proceduresEnvironmental chamber maintenance is a big plus.
