Our client is currently seeking a Dev Ops Engineer. Must be an expert in one of the following: Chef, Ansible, Puppet, or Salt. Must also have a background in AWS and scripting in Python, Java, or BASH.  The Site Reliability/DevOps engineer manages the virtual server and application infrastructure that runs the platform. They work as part of agile scrum teams with engineers of various specialties to design scalable, resilient software services.  Outcomes  After six months:  • Redesign configuration management services for application environments  • Build container-based code deployment workflow  • Release major software features to production  After one year:  • Migrate application services to AL4 continuous availability  • Design and test disaster recovery plans and technologies  After two years:  • Submit pull requests to software engineering for product inclusion  • Build and manage intercontinental infrastructure services  Ongoing:  • Maintain service availability at 99.9%  • Respond to on-call service alerts  • Participate in engineering scrum team success through code contribution, collaboration, and consultation  • Manage ephemeral infrastructure service resources through code-based automation  Competencies:  • Experience designing configuration management systems using Chef, Ansible, Puppet, and Salt •  Ability to design and configure virtual network topologies, especially in AWS VPC  • Expertise at the Linux CLI  • Aptitude with provisioning cloud-based infrastructure via API, especially in AWS  • Strong coding capability in one or more languages, especially Python, webdriver, PHP, Scala, Java, and Bash.  • Utilizing monitoring services to solve real-world problems  • Ability to architect clustered application services for resilience and performance  • Exemplary listening and communication skills If interested, send an updated resume to Gavin Cunningham at gcunningham@judge.com for immediate consideration
