Apple Worldwide Developer Relations is seeking a talented Infrastructure/Site Reliability Engineer. This role will be focused on implementing, monitoring and troubleshooting complex applications that support the App Review team.   This person will be proficient at identifying and resolving system issues that impact the App Review process. This role requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and work closely with cross-functional teams to effectively resolve issues and maintain service availability.

Description

The Infrastructure/Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for installation   configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting systems in order to achieve stability and availability of critical services that support the App Review organization.  Excellent customer service skills are a must.

Responsibilities Include

•Daily monitoring/troubleshooting of App Review systems

•Participation in a 24/7 on-call support rotation

•Create and maintain system documentation to aid in troubleshooting

•Work with development teams to implement new software and services

•Monitor and analyze system metrics for capacity planning

•Create and maintain automation scripts

Education Details

BS in computer science/engineering (or equivalent experience) preferred.

Key Qualifications

3-5 years of experience

Demonstrable knowledge of networking and network protocols

Strong hands-on knowledge in Unix/Linux and OS X environments

Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, PHP, Perl, Bash)

Experience supporting and troubleshooting application code (Java, Ruby a plus)

Knowledge of database support, backup and administration (MySQL a plus)

Working knowledge of Oracle Database is a plus

Develop and maintain automation tools for system administration, provisioning, monitoring and support tasks

Working knowledge of Apache, Tomcat, SSH, NFS performance tuning and troubleshooting

A systematic, test-and-measure approach to continually improving service operations

Hands on experience with system virtualization and backup technologies

Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

Excellent communication skills
