Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering preferred * others considered) Minimum 5 years of experience in Reliability Engineering or similar technical role Strong expertise in reliability concepts and PdM technologies Proven capability at troubleshooting, including the use of root cause analysis techniques for solving complex problems Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical equipment and systems (e.g. pumps, fans, dryers, bearings, seals, etc.) Knowledgeable in use of SAP Maintenance or other EAM/CMMS Proven capability at data mining and trend recognition Excellent communication and collaboration skills

CMRP certification Experience in corn milling equipment and processes Strong electrical knowledge and aptitude The Reliability Engineer provides technical support to maximize the performance and life span of the plant’s operational assets. You will have a degree in in one of the functions of Engineering and bring extensive experience in reliability engineering or a similar technical role along with strong expertise in reliability concepts and PdM technologies.
The Opportunity
You will work closely with the Maintenance Team and play an important role in strengthening the site’s reliability culture and in the long-term reduction of total asset lifecycle costs. You will be responsible for growing the preventive and predictive maintenance process and programs with the goal of maximizing equipment reliability and uptime.
You Will
- Optimize and manage the Predictive Maintenance (PdM) Program at the site, which includes: vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography, ultrasonics, and motor circuit analysis.
- Provide expertise in the principles of root cause analysis (RCA) and Reliability Centered Maintenance to create an environment of continuous asset reliability improvement
- Analyze equipment failures to determine root cause and identifies changes required to prevent recurrence
- Function as a key technical resource for the site in areas such as: PdM technologies, non-destructive testing, RCA, and Data analysis techniques (e.g. FMEA, Weibull analysis, etc.)
- Provide equipment and process troubleshooting support using PdM technologies (e.g. leak detection) and other technical expertise, as needed
- Monitor the performance of equipment and provides reports and updates, as needed
- Work closely with maintenance mechanics and operators to improve knowledge, techniques, and procedures that adversely affect equipment reliability.
- Function as the site contact for maintenance mechanical integrity programs including pressure-coded vessels, etc.
- Provide support, and leadership as needed, for preventive maintenance optimization (PMO) initiatives
- Communicate with other Maintenance & Reliability organizations (both internal and external) to share in benchmarking, best practices, etc.
- Provide training to continue to build the reliability culture and continuously improve (e.g. Lubrication Basics, etc.)
- Work with project engineers to ensure reliability of new and modified assets, while minimizing total lifecycle costs
- Promote a safe work environment by setting an excellent example and showing a strong commitment to Safety
Who We Are Looking For
