The Associate Reliability Engineer Will

• Drive the site reliability program throughout the J&J Manufacturing Equipment Excellence (ME2) program across the solid manufacturing and packaging process. • Establish equipment key performance indicators and a process to correct, maintain and improve equipment operation. • Deliver improved equipment reliability, utilization of assets, labor utilization, supply variability and COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) reduction. • Use criticality assessment tools such as FMEA for asset criticality assessment. • Evaluate and understand equipment causes of failures; implement corrective and preventive actions to avoid reoccurrence. • Support the equipment engineering team in the selection, installation, qualification, and validation of manufacturing and packaging equipment. • Acts as equipment subject matter expert for equipment improvements, deviations evaluation, regulatory audits, and capital justification. • All McNeil employees are required to cultivate an environment of quality & compliance in their actions. Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required; Mechanical or Electrical majors are highly preferred. • 6 months to 3 years of experience in Medical Devices or Pharmaceuticals industry is required; previous COOP and/or internship experience will be considered. • Experience in maintenance or process areas within a regulated manufacturing industry is required. • Experience in a solid dosage pharmaceutical industry is highly preferred. • Knowledge of mechanical aspects in maintenance is required. • Experience working with preventive maintenance programs is highly preferred. • Six sigma Green Belt/Black certification is preferred. • PR Engineering license or EIT preferred. • Experience using risk assessment tools (i.e. FMEA) and with OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) is preferred. • Knowledge in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point) is required. • Must be fluent in Spanish and English (oral and written). • Available to travel approximately 10% of the time. • Able to work extra hours, at night or on week-ends and irregular shifts; able to respond to emergency calls and to support other departments or projects according to business needs.
