Our client is an international heavy industrial manufacturer that is transforming their organization and industry. As a part of this sweeping effort they are strategically adding talent to develop and grow leaders for future roles. We are helping them identify engineers with 5+ years of experience in industrial environments to support and lead process improvement projects at plant sites. The candidates we seek have good interpersonal skills, are creative problem solvers, have a mechanical aptitude and a technical degree (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering).
This strategic talent addition will support process improvement efforts across the organization and impart knowledge to these engineers involving the details of the business. Reporting to the Director Engineering and Process Improvement, this position is responsible for leading process improvement projects at sites across the organization.

The Senior VP Integrated Supply Chain was recruited last year to join a new leadership team to transform the business. This Engineer will join in this emerging transformation effort. We seek a candidate to collaboratively engage and lead process improvement projects. We seek an energized professional for this role.

Candidate Profile: The successful candidate for this position will be an experienced engineer with experience in improving industrial manufacturing process capabilities in a dynamic, multi-site organization that operates in a global environment.
They will have five (5) + years of experience with in engineering roles in industrial facilities. Candidates with experience with LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies are preferred. They will have specific examples of leading projects that impact safety, quality, cost and reliability.
The experience and skills required will include assignments successfully analyzing the situation, developing a strategy with the site team and at times leading the project.
They will have strong project management skills. They will have demonstrated leadership ability to influence change and process improvement with a focus on delivering results.
This position has a very wide variety of interactions both inside the organization and externally with equipment suppliers, customers, engineering firms, and contractors. This role requires well developed, effective interpersonal relationship skills. This candidate must have clear and effective written and oral communication skills.
This candidate will act continuously to maintain the highest standard of unquestioned professional conduct and model high integrity and credibility.
Education
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial) or related field. A graduate degree is desirable.

Project management skills. Internal & External Relationships: This position reports to the Manager, Operations Process Improvement. They must have a high level of organizational agility working across the organization. The contact and interactions in this organization are best described as frequent and informal with a focus on getting the job done. This is a key role for coordinating essential activities, building and maintaining effective relationships is a critical skill. Location: This position will be based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
