Description

Responsiblefor developing, implementing, and monitoring processing plans and processimprovements for reclaim operations, projects regarding expansion of existingand/or new facility(s), and providing assistance to plant operations personnelto include troubleshooting distillation separation, production of reclaimedsolvent product, and site equipment problems. Interact with appropriate governmental regulatory agencies and insurecompliance in environmental, health and safety issues and requirements at thefederal, state, and local regulatory levels.    At the direction of immediate supervisor, interfaces with customers andregulators during facility audits, inspections, etc.       

Essential Dutiesand Responsibilities

•        Reviewreclaim waste stream properties to determine appropriate processing approachesin satisfying specifications, and environmental and safety requirements. 

•        Provideguidance and assistance to operational personnel on processing procedures toinsure that appropriate procedures are followed. 

•        Assistoperational personnel in the resolution of reclaim difficulties pertaining toreduced production, excessive emissions, lack of maintaining productspecifications, and downtime. 

•        Identifyopportunities to improve facility productivity by reducing emissions, andincreasing the reliability and safety of waste processing. 

•        Reviewreclamation operating records to identify opportunities for potentialimprovements of existing and/or new hazardous waste processing. 

•        Identifyfacility capital projects needing implementation and define scope andrequirements to facilitate appropriate cost and justification to beginproject(s). 

•        Superviseconstruction projects to insure appropriate contract compliance,specifications, purchasing, insurance, safety, and environmental policies.    

Requirements

Education/Experience:

•        BSin Chemical Engineering or related discipline required

•        5to 6 years in the hazardous waste industry or related work experience preferred

•        Priorwork experience of 2 year in an analytical capacity preferred
