Software engineers on our Site Reliability Engineering team embody the mindsets of “Infrastructure as Code” and a “Devops Culture.” Your main focus is to ensure our application is available, performant and that the impact of failure is minimized. You are someone who loves understanding the full tech stack and applies a software discipline to evolving and maintaining all of its layers. You will collaborate daily with Operations and Engineering to support and improve our production environment and constantly act as an advocate for stability, performance, and scalability within the company.

What the Job Entails

  • Ensure site uptime and performance SLAs are met
  • Design internal frameworks and tooling to improve infrastructure
  • Code using primarily PHP and Scala
  • Perform technical design and code reviews
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Operations on new feature rollouts

  • Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation Our Ideal Candidate

  • 4+ years of professional experience in server-side website development.
  • Strong foundation in OOP, design patterns, algorithms, and programming languages.
  • Battle-hardened knowledge of application scalability & performance concerns.
  • Experience working with large-scale LAMP website production environments.
  • Solid understanding of server, network, and storage fundamentals
  • Excellent at root cause investigation and problem resolution
  • Great communication skills
  • BS Degree in Computer Science or similar technical field
