Electrical Reliability Engineer
As the Maintenance Reliability Engineer of this world class petrochemical manufacturer, you will ensure electrical/mechanical technical quality of systems and system designs with a strong focus toward a preventive/ predictive maintenance program which adds technical improvements to existing mechanical, electrical and instrumentation systems.
Responsibilities
* * - Prepare Reliability Plans for critical process equipment: Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, Operator Monitoring, critical repair activities, and Spare Parts management. * * - Insure plant compliance with the Performance Materials Technology Inspection, Testing and Preventive Maintenance standards. * * - Maintain currency with developments in the Instrumentation / Electrical field to recommend improvements to current practices. * * - Conduct Site Reliability Assessments. * * - Develop and follow Standard Operating Procedures and Standard Work. * * - Actively support Six Sigma efforts and use methods to properly solve problems. * * - Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) teams and use the Apollo RCFA method where appropriate. * * - Lead Reliability-focused Failure Modes and Effects Analyses teams where appropriate. * * - Drive continued safety improvement * * - Drive initiatives as appropriate to increase productivity and ensure alignment with Operations initiatives.
Qualifications
* * - BS Electrical Engineering with 3+ yrs in hands-on Reliability Engineering in heavy industrial settings (Chemicals, Petroleum, Steel, Pulp & Paper, etc). Must have technical expertise with power distribution, instrumentation, and control systems. * * - US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card) status. * * - Familiar with Mechanical Integrity, Process Startup Safety Review (PSSR), and Management of Change (MOC), etc. * * - Capable of analyzing data from equipment history records (SAP, equipment files, vendor research) as basis for reliability plans. * * - Portrays excellent teamwork skills. * * - Effective in working with and learning from personnel in various roles and from diverse backgrounds; including engineers, designers, drafters, craftspeople, suppliers, and construction contractors
