The Sr. Maintenance Engineer is accountable for the performance of mechanical & process equipment such as pipes, valves, pumps, conveyors, and rotating & fixed equipment for the chemical processing plants. Participates in Plant Continuous Improvement efforts by supporting Best Practice Maintenance and Reliability initiatives. Responsible for recommending economically viable repair versus replacement and updating equipment reliability strategies Leads proactive reliability processes (i.e., criticality ranking, mechanical-integrity focused, root cause failure analysis (RCFA), reliability centered maintenance (RCM)) to ensure long-term reliability Provide engineering to recommend and implement modifications to existing equipment, including scope, estimate, procurement, construction/installation, and start-up troubleshooting. Participate in quality control of preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PDM) programs to assure the highest quality maintenance of equipment. Prepare contract bid documents and work with Materials Management for bid meetings, reviews and awards to safely and cost effectively use outside resources for project construction and installation. Track, control and forecast maintenance spending and timing. Provide regular updates on activities to project stakeholders and customers. Provide training and development opportunities for maintenance employees through scheduling of in-plant seminars and conducting seminars.r Ensure all assigned projects, work and work activity meet company, site, applicable code and regulatory requirements for Safety, Health and Environmental.QUALIFICATIONS: BS in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Civil Engineering with 5+ years experience in Maintenance/ Reliability of chemical plant equipment such as pipes, valves, pumps, conveyors, and rotating equipment; knowledge of proactive reliability processes (i.e., criticality ranking, mechanical-integrity focused, root cause failure analysis, reliability centered maintenance) Working knowledge of predictive/ preventative maintenance tools/ practices to achieve the lowest life cycle costs Technical knowledge in reliability-centered tools and processes such as: FMEA, RCM and Root Cause Analysis Knowledge of ASME, API, ISA, NEC, NFPA, etc. industry standards; strong trouble shooting abilities, preferably in a chemical facility environment Proficient in computer software including Microsoft Office programs. Experience/ exposure with CMMS, CAD, ERP or project tracking software is desirable. US Citizen or Permanent Resident (green card) required
