The Select Group’s top DoD client in the Charlotte, NC is seeking a Reliability/Quality Engineer to join their team!

RELIABILITY/QUALITY ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Lead program engineering quality representative for both internal and external customers. Works closely with manufacturing quality assurance and customers.
  • Responsible for reviewing technical documentation (models, bills of material, drawings, test plans, test reports) to ensure compliance to customer requirements.
  • Responsible for a program Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) and root cause analysis in product development, manufacturing and supplier environments.
  • Lead Failure Review Board (FRB) representative for specific program.
  • Candidate must be comfortable communicating with and presenting to customers and company business leadership.
  • Leadership of activities associated with the defined continuing engineering, continuous improvement and/or Program requirements.
  • Responsible for leading teams to develop and implement design improvement initiatives to reduce process variation and prevent defects and/or non-compliance.
  • Assures that products meet Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Supportability (RAMS) requirements in their operational environment through planning and documenting the technical approach, tasks, methods, and tools to meet program RAMS objectives.
  • Develops reliability models, performs reliability and maintainability predictions, and performs Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) to support requirements analysis.
  • Supports integrated product/process teams and collaborates with engineering representatives, subcontract management representatives, program managers, customers, and business leadership.
  • Regular travel (up to 25%) to support tasks at alternate company site.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in the following areas required :

  • Statistical techniques
  • Lean manufacturing
  • Six Sigma
  • Failure Analysis
  • Corrective Action
  • Experience with ISO 9001.
  • Experience with government contracts preferred .
  • Experience with Access Database development preferred .
