Details

The Reliability Engineer will deliver a risk management and risk assessment strategy for implementation of condition based and predictive maintenance programs, for the GSK WREF. The candidate will analyze information on historical trends in order to drive ongoing improvements in reliability, efficiency and performance of physical assets. The role will support WREF’s global sites and service owner stakeholders.   This role will implement the WREF Risk Based Inspection (RBI) program for the inspection of infrastructure support assets and systems. This role will provide technical and organizational support and leadership in order to drive equipment reliability and performance improvement, as well as implement systems and best practices to ensure proactive measures are being taken for continuous improvement. •Develop risk management plans with the initial focus on establishment of a condition based/predictive maintenance programphysical contamination (PCCE) that will anticipate reliability related and non reliability related risks that could adversely impact plant operations. •Develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations. These problems include quality (PCCE), capacity and cost.

•Professionally And Systematically Defines, Designs, Develops, Monitors And Refines An Assets Maintenance Plan That Includes

oValue added preventative maintenance tasks (initial focus on PCCE risks and RBI) oEffective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems (initial focus on PCCE risks and RBI) . •Providing mechanical technical support to the site engineering teams for mechanical equipment and mechanical fixed assets (Pressure Systems Safety Regulations, Condition Based Monitoring, Risk Based Inspection).

OWork With Engineering And Operations Teams To Perform Analyses Of Assets Including

oOverall equipment effectiveness oRemaining useful life •Other parameters that define operation condition, reliability and costs of assets. •Applies value analysis to repair/replace, repair/redesign and make/buy decisions. •Strategic review of critical plant and equipment maintenance plans (run to fail, condition based, scheduled, etc) for efficacy, frequency and effectiveness oCriticality Assessment, Cost Evaluation and Workload Development oEstablish ‘Condition and Baseline’ (Commissioning) oEstablish ‘ongoing program’ oControl and Measure – Program and Plant Performance •Develop cost effective feasibility reports exploring  condition or performance based maintenance techniques\ technologies •Develop programme of non destructive and limited destructive testing and monitoring for infrastructure distribution systems (chilled water, hot water, steam, condensate distribution systems etc) •Audit (spot check/Gemba) service provider maintenance work •Improve Overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) including energy focused maintenance (steam trap maintenance & repair, re-commissioning) •Technical support: Pressure systems best practice compliance to include increased endo-scope and condition based solutions (therefore less stripping down, lower costs). Implementation of more predictive technologies such as Transient Earth Voltage combined Ultrasonic detection and measure partial discharge in high voltage assets
