Automation Reliability Engineer

As a Automation Reliability Specialist, your role is to decrease downtime and increase asset availability by implementing a reliability department to move from reactive/ preventive maintenance toward reliability-centered maintenance.
- Manage the creation and evolution of a reliability-centered maintenance program and an on-site lubrication laboratory with defined standards and procedures, leading to world-class predictive and proactive maintenance. This may include: Routine sample analysis, oil/machine condition trend analysis, defining oil/machine performance limits and preparing sample analysis reports.
- Identify gaps in maintenance/operational processes, skills, tooling, technology choices and work with upper management to drive improvements within the organization.
- Create and manage a National Lubrication System standard. Work with all sites, both C&S and ES3 (GPS/TME), within the organization to implement that standard.
- Define best business practices and provide technical support to maintenance management, maintenance personnel, and system operations regarding condition based maintenance.
- Support world-class reliability and maintenance work processes including Breakdown Analysis (BDA), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
- Drive the implementation of the reliability program in compliance with all federal/local regulations in a safe, prioritized and systematic manner.
- Manage costs to ensure the budgeting process is accurate and the reliability program meets the business requirements.
- Primary site advocate for reliability issues and the ability to technically support maintenance technicians in performing maintenance tasks.
- Actively participate with the sites leadership team to manage strategic growth and enhance the long-term vision.
- Maintain the integrity of the Computerized Maintenance Management System to enable tracking and trending of failures, parts consumption, and labor resource allocation.

Cover Automation Managers during vacations or absences; provide training; facilitate meetings.
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Technical/Trade school certification in a related field required
- Ten to fifteen years’ experience in industrial maintenance leadership and business management
- Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects within budget limits.
- Excellent communication skills: interpersonal, consulting, presentation, writing, and meeting facilitation.
- Microsoft Office knowledge, especially Excel
- Contemporary leadership, organizational and time management skills
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- A proven track record of safety and quality and the ability to prioritize these over productivity
- Troubleshooting, root cause analysis, problem solving, and knowledge of total maintenance excellence principles (TME)
- Any recognized certification in RCM such as: CLS, OMA, MLA or CRE
- Certified experience in mechanical, electrical, & controls maintenance
- Leadership competency training and certification(s)
