Database Engineer/DevOps Engineer

Our client, a dynamic high-tech company is looking for a highly skilled Dev Ops Engineer to join the Company’s Technology Operations Team, which includes Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Database Administration (DBA), Network Engineering (NE), and Network Operations Center (NOC). The Technology Operations Team is responsible for full scope system/network availability and pro-active issue resolution for the Company’s platform sites around the world. 

Data minded engineer who creates, deploys and maintains a database infrastructure that meets the requirements of the business.  Broad position within the operations organization that works along-side the Site Reliability engineers, Network engineers, and remote DBA team to deliver on the engineering and operations goals of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Deep understanding of data layer of the applications with the ability to work cross functionally across the operations and engineering teams
  • Can diagnose database performance issues autonomously as well as with input and guidance from team members.
  • Performs deep analysis of the data infrastructure to determine system design, availability performance bottlenecks, to provide technical resolution and to deploy solutions.
  • Works within the technical operations group but collaborates day to day with QA and engineering teams.
