Electrical Reliability Engineer

Purpose And Summary Of Position
- The purpose of this position is to improve the safety, reliability, and efficiency of plant electrical equipment through the application of engineering expertise in providing low cost solutions to electrical reliability problems
- Establishes and is responsible for predictive/preventive strategy for site electrical equipment
- Performs root cause failure analysis on electrical equipment, develops corrective action and tracks results.
- Develops and promotes new reliability strategies.
- Support day to day troubleshooting of site electrical issues.
- Provides input and participates in the development of the maintenance budgets and forecasts.
- Owns the site electrical safety programs.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- BSEE required
- 5+ years experience in a manufacturing or utility environment
- Knowledge of manufacturing plant processes and experience in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with preventative and predictive techniques to improve the equipment reliability
- Strong computer skills especially with MS products
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities
- Effective communication skills with ability to communicate internally and externally with all levels of the organization
- Strongly motivated individual who works independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a team based environment
- Ability to lead teams toward a common goal
Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Experience in a chemical manufacturing or oil refining setting
- Experience with SAP
- Experience with load coordination studies
- Experience with electrical distribution design in the range of 6900V and below
- Experience with instrumentation and controls is a plus
