Workiva’s system reliability engineers provide the first line of defense for technical production issues related to cloud computing environments.  We hire engineers with a proven track record of being able to diagnose and resolve tough technical challenges and work with a wide range of people to build confidence in our solution and ensure that we run smoothly 24 x 7.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with product development teams to troubleshoot problems in real-time, interacting with customers and internal support representatives to deliver maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Develop innovative solutions that improve reliability of our production environment
  • Build logging, monitoring, alerting and analytics around our application that allow us to monitor systems, detect issues early and respond to issues and trends quickly.
  • Brainstorm and implement ways to streamline our processes to ensure that we can respond to issues before our customers even know they exist.
  • Coordinate diagnosis and resolution of issues with application software engineers and test engineer.

What You’ll Need

  • B.S./M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Experience working as System or Site Reliability Engineer
  • Experience working on Amazon and Google’s cloud solutions
  • Good knowledge of languages like Python, Java, Go and Dart   
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Intense passion for troubleshooting and programming
