Reliability Engineer (Level TBD)
Major job functions of the Reliability Engineer will include: * Perform Reliability Analyses on Space and Military electronics, with emphasis on: FMECA Derating/Stress Analysis Reliability Prediction * Act as Reliability Engineering lead on Space and Hi-Rel Military programs, ensuring compliance with customer reliability requirements, effectively interfacing with customer reliability specialists, presenting reliability requirements and reliability analysis results at customer design reviews and internal management reviews. * Support new business proposals, reviewing customer reliability requirements, providing labor cost and schedule estimates to accomplish required reliability tasks. * Develop Reliability Program Plans to document and control reliability tasks and activities required for specific Space and Military programs. * Interface internally with Electrical Design Engineers, Component Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Functional and Program Management. * Support internal training program, mentoring junior engineers in Reliability Engineering, including performance of reliability analyses. *IND Qualifications Required: BSEE or equivalent 2+ years of experience performing FMECA, Derating, and Reliability Prediction analyses Candidate must be a direct communicator with excellent time management skills Basic Office software proficiency in Excel and Word Working knowledge of MIL and Industry specs governing Reliability Engineering / Analyses This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. Preference will be given to candidates with an active Secret (or higher) clearance at the time of hire. Desired: 5+ years of Reliability Engineering experience in a Space/Military electronics environment Ability to perform other systems effectiveness analyses, such as: Maintainability Prediction, Fault Tree Analysis, Bent Pin Analysis, Safety Analysis Experience with Reliability Software tools (e.g. Relex) Circuit level simulation/analysis capability (e.g. PSpice) Radiation analysis experience (EEE parts and box-level) Engineering Management / Cost Account Management (CAM) experience About Us L-3 Telemetry & RF Products, located in San Diego, is a full service manufacturer of state-of-the-art communication and telemetry solutions for space, airborne, terrestrial and maritime applications.
