We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our Engineering team. In this leadership position you will own responsibility for maintaining SLA’s for the applications, the operational stack, and the networks.   You will be involved in all facets of Insightly’s production and cloud based solution that serves millions of customers. As a member of the engineering team, your main focus is to ensure our cloud software is available, performant and that the impact of failure is minimized. You are someone who loves understanding the full tech stack and applies a software discipline to evolving and maintaining all of its layers. You will collaborate daily with Operations and Engineering to support and improve our production environment and constantly act as an advocate for stability, performance, and scalability within the company. Responsibilities

  • Ensure critical systems, applications, and services are always up and running by monitoring, gathering, and analyzing data from different network sources.

  • Manage all components in the full stack, and assist with building out server automation across the entire infrastructure.

  • Ensure site uptime and performance SLAs are met

  • Design, build, scale, and automate Insightly’s infrastructure

  • Design internal frameworks and tooling to improve infrastructure

  • Collaborate with Engineering and Operations on new feature rollouts

  • Address complex software and systems issues such as distributed change propagation on live serving systems

  • Work proactively across the company to ensure the Insightly infrastructure is never a constraint for the engineering team Skills and Experience

  • Battle-hardened knowledge of application scalability & performance concerns.

  • Solid understanding of server, network, and storage fundamentals

  • Strong expertise with Microsoft Windows operating systems

  • Excellent at root cause investigation and problem resolution

  • Great communication skills

  • BS Degree in Computer Science or similar technical field   Nice to have

  • Experience with Microsoft IIS, SQL Server, Redis, NewRelic

  • Production Log management

  • Experience with TeamCity and Octopus Deploy
