The goal of Infrastructure team is to ensure our developers can iterate as fast as possible and maintain systems reliability. We create solutions that allow our developers to focus on building the award winning subscription-based program designed to help people make progress on their money, not on setup & deployment.

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you are the both the first and last link of the chain in software delivery. You have designed what the system should look like and how the software got there. You love to debug the hardest of problems and design robust solutions to prevent them from happening in the future. You have a penchant for learning about the latest and greatest and bringing the most effective ideas to our ecosystem. Above all, you are contributing to the goal of reliability.

Our current tech stack includes AWS, Linux, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Spring, Node.js, Java8, and Python.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the existing infrastructure for our public facing website and internal tools
  • Provide best practices and share our knowledge with the rest of the organization
  • Take a shared responsibility for designing and implementing new architecture and tools for delivering and running software services
  • Develop documentation and capacity plans
  • Debug the hardest problems for our new bleeding edge architecture Qualifications

  • Deep experience in debugging and working with the Linux operating system and kernel (RHEL and Debian flavors preferred)
  • Experience with configuration management and systems automation software such as Chef and Ansible
  • Strong knowledge of Linux containers
  • Strong knowledge of build systems, the microservices model, and continuous integration/deployment practices
  • Mid to expert level knowledge of AWS
  • The willingness and ability to learn Golang or Python
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills
