C+E Security may be the place for you.As a Senior Service Engineer you will have the opportunity to provide technical leadership on an exciting growing security service that protects both Microsoft and external customers. You will be responsible for contributing code to operability features, participating in design reviews as well as standard Agile processes like standups and planning, designing, implementing, and improving robust monitoring, deployment, and business continuity plans. You are also responsible for gathering real world service feedback and bringing it back to the development team to help drive feature decisions and prioritization of development work. You will be get the extra bonus of learning about security via the functionality of the system, while being part of a growing service that allows growth on many fronts.A successful candidate will possess the following skills:• Proven experience delivering complex application development projects using Microsoft technology. • Strong experience with Azure, Multi-Dimensional modelling, Self-healing concepts, AP/PF and monitoring solutions. • leveraging tools such as VSO or TFS to manage the Application Lifecycle Management • Drive large and complex application designs • Provide oversight for Architect-related functions across multiple micro services • Strong understanding of integration testing. • Excellent oral and written communications skills. • Ability to engage in executive and senior-level technology discussions. • Design and development of highly operational, supportable and manageable Telemetry solutions • Programming in PowerShell and at least one of the object oriented language such as C#. • Ability to Debug live site issues • Strong understanding of testing techniques to insure all changes are implemented with no service impacts. (Functional, Performance and Integration testing) • Partner with other engineering teams to resolve issues and defects. • Be willing to manage your services 24 x7 with the support of vendor operations teams Basic Qualifications:• 5+ years of experience in Service Engineering/Engineering roles; 5+ years of coding/testing experience in a high level language. • Demonstrated solid working knowledge on cloud computing / Azure • Proven experience with building service telemetry• BS/BA in Computer Science or related field preferredPreferred Qualifications:• utilization of the Asimov/Cosmos tool set• Ability to manage and deliver multiple project phases at the same time • Strong analytical and problem solving and organizational skills • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Ability to deal with the ambiguity associated with working in a fast-paced and changing environment. • Leadership skills: Sound problem resolution, judgment, negotiating and decision making skills. • Feedback/Metrics collection techniques to expose live site/service issues. • Proficiency in technical research • Preferred experience in technical writing, technical and organizational analysis Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
