Partial Job Description

We are looking for a contract Civil/Structural engineer with a broad capability for design and engineering support of facilities in the petrochemical industry. Basic responsibilities and requirements are listed below. Specific responsibilities include: * Demonstrates a commitment to environmental, health & safety, and legal considerations at all times. * Provide front end loading and conceptual design for civil/structural projects. * Provide technical assurance on project deliverables. * Provide engineered solutions to project related RFI and field changes for civil issues. * Technical support for maintenance of roads, buildings, drainage, and other civil infrastructure. * Provide technical support to maintenance and inspection staff in operating units, including reliability and integrity reviews of civil infrastructure. * Participate in integrated teams with civil, mechanical designers, and other engineering disciplines to troubleshoot customer issues and provide engineered solutions. Requirements: * Bachelor of Science in Civil and/or Structural Engineering. * Must have minimum of seven (7) years of CivilEngineering experience. * Must have at least four (4) years experience in the petrochemical and/or manufacturing industry. * Professional Engineering License in CivilEngineering. * Knowledge of civil and structural design codes and standards in the petrochemical industry. * Capital project experience * able to prepare basis of design for new facilities. * Knowledge of site selection and development, and civil design and construction. * Experience with civil infrastructure support, including roads, buildings, drainage, foundations, and steel structures. * Able to make fitness-for-service assessments for facilities, with advice on repair or rejuvenation methods. * Strong networking and communication capability to support customers. * Personal initiative and ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines consistently.
