Job Type Direct State or Prov Oklahoma [OK] Job Title Electrical Engineer * power distribution Postal Code 74135 Job ID 2029 Responsibilities * Provide technical leadership and problem solving solutions for the site electrical infrastructure/ equipment to ensure installed systems, equipment designs and installations (new/replacement/upgrades) meet all applicable codes and standards.
- Design, develop and implement electrical/ power distribution, process controls and automation projects involving automation systems and PC network technologies (DCS, PLC, PI, Wonderware, Intellution).
- Review electrical discipline calculations and equations, including electric circuit calculations, 3-phase power and ampacity, impedance, sizing of conductors, calculation of losses, reactive power, and verification of proper phase rotation, relaying calculations, short circuit calculations, and Arc Flash studies. Develop and implement projects according to findings.
- Assists with the development of new electrical engineering standards and maintains and improves existing standards and guidelines, implementing industry and company best practices.
- Optimize and automate plant controls via automation techniques (loop tuning) and Advanced Process Control applications with a focus on improving facility cost-effectiveness and plant production capacity.
- Work with plant management, engineers, maintenance and contractors and to provide expert guidance; leadership and assistance to facility Control System Specialists (upgrade projects, troubleshooting, etc.) for satisfactory completion, on time and within budget.
- Monitor the facility’s DCS operations and performance, provide technical support and troubleshooting and facilitate the development of programs for improvement.
- Oversee the field construction, verification of proper installation, performance of loop checks and the oversight of final commissioning of DCS/PLC equipment associated with maintenance or capital projects.
- Communicate and maintain proper documentation related to the DCS system status, changes, and coordinate/conduct personnel training for such related items as necessary.
- Review facility instrument maintenance activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to all specifications, codes, and standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements which result in higher throughput, improved efficiencies, recognizable cost savings and more consistent product quality.

BS Electrical Engineering with 10+ years’ experience with electrical/ power distribution, process controls and automation projects involving automation systems and PC network technologies (prefer Allen Bradley, Siemens, Delta V) for chemical, food, or pharmaceutical plant sites.

- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, draw conclusions and then develop and execute problem solutions with a high level of integrity, thoroughness, creativity, flexibility, initiative, and productive, collaborative teamwork is a must.
- Experience reading, designing and providing project deliverables (P&ID drawings and loop/wiring schematics and/or specifying and selecting process instruments is preferred).
