Manufacturing Engineer II- Machine Shop

As a Manufacturing Engineer II you will plan, design, and implement manufacturing processes and improvements in our Burbank site. The goal is to maximize workflow by efficiency analyzing the layout of equipment, assembly methods, and work force utilization.
Responsibilities
- Implement process changes and improvements aimed at minimizing process variation and maximizing Rolled Throughput Yield (RTY) and ensure understanding of changes and improvements to factory workforce.
- Recommend design changes to improve manufacturability of products.
- Leading process changes and improvements aimed at minimizing process variation and maximizing RTY.
- Evaluate make/buy decisions supportive of maximizing cost savings and factory leverage.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- 2+ years relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Manufacturing, or Science area of study
- CNC programming and AutoCAD capabilities strongly preferred for Mechanical manufacturing areas.
- 2+ years experience in grind and lap area
- Lean, Continuous Improvement, and/or Operational Excellence experience preferred.
- Understanding of finance and cost analysis preferred.
- Ability to develop and present failure analysis reports and ability to work in a team environment.
- Advance Project Management skills.
- Advance Knowledge of MS Office.
