Job Responsibilities

  • The role serves as an infrastructure and operations expert for the Huawei Public Cloud. It combines software development, networking and systems engineering expertise to build and run large scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant software systems and infrastructure.
  • Develop public cloud site reliability plan covers the next 3 years; especially identify the key technology, related technology and roadmap to support the business and service strategy. The technology plan is used to assure Huawei Public Cloud maintains industry-leading competitiveness, and to guide the R&D team’s site reliability strategy. This includes architecting and building new automation infrastructure to balancing the desire for change management with the need for stability.
  • Guide, manage and coordinate other reliability experts and engineers who focus on Huawei Public Cloud.
  • Guide and participate external technology communication and cooperation, including Huawei Public Cloud customers, IT vendors, ISP/ICP, university, etc. Establish the channels with the best experts in IT industry. Identify and catch the opportunity on site reliability technology purchasing, collaboration and innovation.
  • As a public cloud site reliability technical expert, tightly interact with members of executive team, sales team, product management team and R&D team to assure the technology plan to be consistent with company goals and priorities.

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years working experience in Cloud Computing area. 4+ years working experience in site reliability engineering for large-scale public cloud.
  • Deeply understand the operations requirement of cloud service provider, telecom operators, and also deeply understand the medium and long term Cloud Computing reliability technology development trend.
  • Enjoy being challenged by problems of scale and complexity, with a strong desire to make services better for users.
  • With wide view scope on IT industry, especially on cloud computing, virtualization, storage, networking, middleware, database, web architecture etc.
  • BS is required, MS is preferred
