Come help us build out the world’s first on-demand, logistics engine for delivery! We’re looking for talented engineers to join our team and help us create and maintain a 24x7, no downtime, global infrastructure system that powers DoorDash’s 3-sided marketplace of consumers, merchants, and dashers.

We’re looking for motivated site-reliability/DevOps engineers to build out and maintain our backend systems. You’ll be setting up and maintaining our cloud-based infrastructure and work to constantly improve our performance and reliability. You will also work closely with developers to set up continuous delivery and ensure that new features can be deployed quickly and smoothly.

What We Look For

  • B.S., M.S., or PhD. in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Passionate about systems administration, operations, infrastructure and troubleshooting
  • Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux and experience working with open source software (such as PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, HAProxy, Nginx)
  • Experience working with SQL databases
  • Experience with scripting (Python, Bash, Ruby, etc.)
  • Has worked with logging and reporting tools to monitor system health
  • Understanding of modern web stacks and architecture (HTTP, REST)
  • Eager to work in fast-paced startup environment and a desire to disrupt logistics

Ideally

  • Experience with automation / configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt, Fabric, Docker, etc.
  • Experience with database administration
  • Experience with deploying web apps to cloud infrastructure (AWS, etc.) and working with distributed, service-oriented architecture
  • Contributor to open source projects
