DevOps Engineer Are you a server-herder? Do you like telling lots of machines what to do and then watch them do it? Do you automate massively distributed deployments and still sleep well at night? Do you also grok developer code? Then the DevOps engineering position is for you. Responsibilities

  • Design and build deployment systems using Chef, ruby and C (this is an automation, coding position)
  • Work directly with engineering teams to build scalable systems

  • Direct responsibility for site reliability Qualifications

  • 6+ Years experience running Linux/BSD on medium to high traffic servers
  • Proven ability to build large, reliable, scalable architecture
  • Knowledge of Internet Protocol standards, and RoR stack
  • Track record of practical problem solving
  • Experience with Virtual Machines on VMware, Amazon EC2 and Hadoop

  • B.S. in computer science or equivalent working experience A plus:

  • Experience with Chef
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails and performance tuning on Rails systems
  • Active user of Web Video
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
