Our Client, a multi-site chemical producer, has an immediate opening for an E&I Reliability Engineer at one of its sites in the Houston area.

Job Responsibilities

The E&I Reliability Engineer Will

  • Lead and direct the maintenance department’s E&I maintenance and reliability initiatives.
  • Provide technical assistance to the maintenance department and be the E&I maintenance liaison with plant engineering and operations.
  • Lead predictive and preventative E&I maintenance programs.
  • Lead maintenance safety and environmental compliance initiatives and provide maintenance support to plant.
  • Maintain and improve mechanical systems, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systemsDirect and coordinate manufacturing, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirementsInspect, maintain installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design, equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
  • Utilize technical drawings, specifications of electrical and mechanical systems and components to ensure systems conform to standards.
  • Maintain and improve labor relations. Lead and direct specialty contractors. Act as liaison with engineers, operations, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects.
  • Assist in developing capital project programs for new equipment and major repairs.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Chemical Plant Manufacturing experience
  • Minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 12 years experience.
  • Experienced in chemical plant instrumentation design and troubleshooting.
  • Experienced in a Plant Maintenance reliability role.
  • Some experience in control system support.
  • Some experience in chemical plant power distribution (switch gear, MCC, arcflash)
