The focus of this position will be on aftermarket operations performance and capacity management. You will be making sure that GoDaddy Aftermarket has the best performance in the industry!Requirements:

  • Skilled with Bash and at least one other scripting language (Python, Ruby, etc).
  • Experience troubleshooting production issues in a wide-scale server environment
  • You love automating manual processes
  • You are a documentation fanatic (ie. Code comments, process methodologies, etc.)
  • Heavy experience with *Nix systems (primary focus on RHEL/CentOS)
  • Heavy experience with NAS and other remote storage solutions
  • Knowledgeable with MySQL query syntax and basic MySQL configuration knowledge
  • Experience with virtualization technology (Virtuozzo, VMWare, OpenStack etc.)

  • Conduct performance analysis and monitoring of multiple products/platforms
  • Identify, plan and implement solutions that continually improve performance to allow for the fastest page load times in the industry
  • Automation development for infrastructure efficiencies across multiple products/platforms
  • Automation intelligence for alert responses
  • Capacity management for multiple products/platforms
  • Code contributions in languages such as Python, C/C++, Bash, Ruby, Java, C#/.NET
  • Performance tuning for Apache web server, tcp/ip & network stack, system/kernel level tuning, NFS
  • Alert response for performance and capacity related thresholds
