We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Reliability Engineer for our First Quality Tissue facility located in Anderson, SC. This position is responsible for reviewing specification, selection, purchase, installation, start-up, maintenance of electrical equipment and inspections of electrical equipment to improve efficiencies, quality or expand the manufacturing operation. This role reports to the Reliability Engineering Manager and works closely with engineering, maintenance and operations. Primary responsibilities include: · Analyzes trend data, troubleshoots process and electrical problems. · Prepares cost estimates equipment proposals installations startup validations and electrical maintenance testing and inspections while coordinating multiple disciplines to meet required schedules. · Ability to perform electrical maintenance and inspections with accordance with NFPA 70B, NETA, and site and state guidelines and regulations. · Manage and maintain site power monitoring equipment, revenue metering. · Implement, manage and maintain electrical motor preventive / predictive maintenance program. · Implement, manage and maintain IR thermography and ultra sound preventive / predictive maintenance program. · Active resource for Root Cause Analysis and Problem Elimination of significant failures and repetitive issues. · Ability to validate and oversee motor repairs and upgrades. · Follows necessary OSHA, NFPA 70E, GMP, NEC, FDA and ISO regulations. · Assist in field verification and factor acceptance testing. · Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times. · Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so. The ideal candidate should possess the following skills: · Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering (BSEE preferred). · Minimum five years of experience in process manufacturing environment. · Excellent oral and written communication skills. · Ability to write scope of work, oversee and perform switchgear maintenance and testing on low and medium voltage equipment including switchgear, station batteries, unit sub-stations, vacuum and air circuit breakers, and motors ranging from fractional HP to above NEMA design. · Maintenance and/or production background with heavy industrial or manufacturing preferred. · Ability to identify machine, material and/or process improvements and implementation solutions. · Standard knowledge of paper making concepts, plant electrical distribution system, and electrical one-line diagrams.
