Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineer

Axiall Corporation in Lake Charles, LA is offering an opportunity to apply your experience and skills as a Reliability Engineer. Primary focus for this position is rotating equipment reliability, but next exclusive of other areas. This position drives improvements in maintenance costs and equipment reliability through effective reliability engineering.

Essential Duties And Responsbilities

Duties

The essential duties of this position include but are not limited to:

Site lead for rotating equipment initiatives and reliability program.
Provide technical assistance to the maintenance supervisors in the repair and improvement of all process equipment.
Develop and improve maintenance procedures for repair of equipment.
Perform equipment failure analysis to prevent reoccurrence.
Evaluate and recommend alternate mechanical spare parts sources vs. OEM parts.
Lead equipment overhauls on larger pieces of equipment.
Support the site and maintenance goals by driving improvement in key performance indicators.
Support turnarounds, and outages both planned and unplanned.
Perform some project work, and support projects for infrastructure recapitalization and reliability improvements.
Excel in use of plant computer programs and tools.

EDUCATION

BS in mechanical engineering from an accredited university preferred.

Qualifications

The ideal candidates will possess the following essential skills and qualifications:

5-10 years of chemical plant experience preferred. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, strong work planning and organizational skills required.
