Description

With great power comes great responsibility. At Apple Maps, we run our own show. As an Apple Maps SRE you’ll be a reliability ninja. You’ll make sure that when something goes bump in the night, it gets fixed immediately. You’ll play a significant role in keeping Apple Maps fast, available and growing and be part of a team providing 24/7 coverage of Apple Maps reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

Monitor site reliability and performance

Troubleshoot site down and performance issues

Develop tools and dashboards as needed

Document response and resolution procedures

Education Details

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant industry experience

Key Qualifications

Knowledge of Linux or Unix Systems Administration with 2 years experience preferred

Understanding Of Python Scripting With 2 Years Experience Preferred

Understanding of networking and internet fundamentals (TCP/ IP, HTTP)

Understanding of large scale systems and high availability

Willing to work off-hours shifts (evening, nights, or weekends)

Additional Requirements

Experience at a large scale internet property

Experience with Content Delivery Networks and configurations

Willing to be assigned an overnight shift
