Requirements

You are a challenge driven individual with several years of experience across software development, applications and infrastructure. You are excited by the opportunity to participate in a lean modern company and help to build a world class dev-ops driven SaaS platform.

What you will be responsible for…

  • Collaborating as a member of the SaaS Pit-Crew to design, automate, implement and support infrastructure and processes around Ephemeral Containers, Kubernetes, Virtualized Linux, AWS services, MySQL, Oracle, Java, Ruby, and Node.JS platforms, implemented as both monolithic and newer microservice architectures.
  • Being a point-expert on certain technologies, but also cross-training other team members to back-fill you when you are not available.
  • Improving the team’s processes and support through a high level of cooperation and documentation.
  • Being a part of a team providing 24x7 availability in rotation.
  • Being cheerful and having fun. Working here is a blast — act accordingly :)

You Are The Type Of Person Who

  • Has an understanding of application stacks and how modern applications are structured, built and deployed using continuous delivery processes.
  • Is comfortable with Linux infrastructure, databases and web technologies, including virtualization, containers and cloud services.
  • Is experienced with software development, programming and scripting, but also likes to be involved in how the platform and infrastructure are put together.
  • Understands security concerns and Authentication models.
  • Loves to automate everything.
  • Demonstrates an ability to adapt and learn new technologies.
  • Thinks like an Architect, works like an Engineer and enjoys the problem solving challenges of Operations.
  • Is capable of recognizing what you don’t know, and learns new things quickly.
  • Is willing to stand for and explain what you believe in, and you are okay even if it is not what is used.
  • Likes to participate as a member of a highly collaborative and effective team that provides the technology services for the company.
  • Can work autonomously if necessary. There’s always plenty to work on, but not always someone available to tell you exactly what to work on.
