Security and reliability are the foremost concerns for our customers as they move their services to Azure, outside of their corporate network. The Azure Security team ensures that Azure is the most secure and resilient cloud platform. The team owns the core security services spanning across the Azure stack, providing low level platform services as well as protection for customer applications running in the cloud. We are responsible for identity and access management, secrets/key management, encryption and data protection, Azure security monitoring, anti-malware protection, secure boot and attestation of customer VMs, fraud detection automation, and other security capabilities for the Azure platform.Identity and access management team is part of Azure Security team focusing on core Azure authentication and access management. Our team owns the Authentication System (dSTS) and Just-In-Time Access Management and Monitoring (JIT) System. We are looking for a very technical and passionate Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) who will own configuration and operational automation of these systems. The responsibilities in this position include, but not limited to, configuring dSTS and JIT and their dependent services, improving configuration automation to enable self-service for our customers, managing and automating buildouts of new service instances, developing instrumentation systems to track configuration KPIs and driving disaster recovery exercises for these critical systems. This position offers excellent hands-on experience with large scale cloud services and opportunities to make an impact on service design for operational efficiency.
