Experis is seeking an Automation Engineer for a 6+ month opportunity with one of their clients in Chicago, IL!

Qualifications: -5+ year professional experience in network engineering or software engineering -3+ years of experience in software development, in distributed systems environment. -4+ years of experience in an object-oriented language, (PowerShell, XML,.net; JQuery, HTML). -4+ years of experience with SQL,WCF,C#, JavaScript -2+ years of experience with web services and web APIs. -2+ years of experience with git, team foundation server (TFS), or other collaboration tool -Experience with one of: Microsoft System Center 2012, HP Operations Orchestration or other orchestration application/technology. -Experience with HP service anywhere, Propel, Service Now, or similar service catalog product.

Responsibilities: -Produce and maintain XML and JavaScript-based workflows for in-house service catalog. -Provide direct technical support in problem management, maintenance, integration, and systems programming for automated solution workflows. -Interact with a variety of APIs exposed by different products from different vendors using available tools or coding languages. -Make adjustments as needed to current processes to improve reliability and stability with automated solutions -Maintain a strong focus on testing, coding standards, and code quality. -Adhere to service, problem, and change management processes. -Assist in implementing releases, upgrades, and/or changes to the environment. -Research and evaluate new technologies or APIs required for automated solutions. -Coordinate activities with internal/external technology owners Understand technical/business requirements gathered from the business units -Consult with other business units (e.g. application groups, DBAs, middleware, etc.) to build workflows to meet needs. -Participates in code review process, posting scripts, and incorporating feedback from senior engineers on team. -Provide technical support as needed in automation space. -Some travel required between Chicago offices or other off-site locations.
