  Synchronoss is looking for a lead/senior site reliability engineer who can lead small team of engineers in India manage multi-million dollar SaaS infrastructure hosting 30+ customers for B2B solutions. Do you want to be in intimate, close-up contact with the most cutting-edge cloud, BigData and SaaS products? Position Overview:

  • Seasoned cloud Infrastructure, SaaS application support and systems engineer

  • Explore, Learn and work on application automation and IaaS(OpenStack)

  • Manage SRE operations for multiple customer and COTS products integrated under SSO.

  • Build, deploy and manage complex java based applications.

  • Manage all aspects of Infrastructure, applications, BigData, systems, backups.

  • Work independently with little or no supervision with architecture, Dev, Service Delivery and IT Ops.  

  • Coordinate with product development and DevOps teams to implement automation framework.

  • Conduct training and coordinate production support activities with remote teams especially in India.

  • Coordinate with a small team of motivated individuals, conduct daily standup calls and meetings.

  • Build and operate Infrastructure for hosting applications and databases.

  • Flexibility to travel to data centers and offices all over united states, Ireland and India.

  • Ability to assist client services on customer calls and independently coordinate with vendors.

  • Ability to be on-call 24X7 including select holidays and High volume events.   Experience and Requirements:

  • 5+ years of managing high performance infrastructure and SaaS Provider involving technologies like SSO, Tomcat, Weblogic, Oracle, virtualized infrastructure, multi-tiered and multi-protocol storage.

  • 2+ Years of proven experience of working on Hadoop echo system (Cloudera/MapR/Hortonworks), oozie, spark, drill, hue, hive, Sqoop with cross technology integration and configuration.

  • Hands-on experience on building and operating high volume Hadoop and Elastic Search clusters.

  • Hands on experience with building utilities and implementing automation.

  • Hands on experience managing all aspects of hosted B2B applications for Telecom and Finance.

  • Hands on experience on virtualized infrastructure, OpenStack and AWS

  • Familiarity with build and deployment tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, Git, Stash, Maven.

  • Proven experience on independently solving issues, implementing new technologies.

  • 3+ years Experience with implementation of tools for monitoring, automation (e.g. Jenkins) and synthetics(NewRelic/AppDynamics)
