Senior Site Reliability Engineer
Senior Site Reliability Engineer Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is a critical role within the Engineering Operations group at EIS. The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will play an important role in helping develop solutions that take application performance and error information and transform that into software solutions that minimize frequency and impact of service disruptions. The SRE is critical in driving improvements across multiple development backlogs. In addition, the Sr. Site Reliability Engineer will work with DevOps teams and Infrastructure Engineering teams to bring in optimizations to the workflows. Primary Responsibilities:This position will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing efficient and scalable data delivery and reporting infrastructure (with UI) to meet current and future business needs. Following are some of the prime responsibilities:
- Ability to develop and maintain software components and systems

- Ability to present and articulate options and solutions to solve complex technical challenges and their corresponding trade-offs.
- Work with team and leadership to develop the long term Site Reliability Engineering road map.
- Development
- especially in projects that are complex, high visibility, or with technologies or solutions that are new to the team/system. This includes dealing with large data sets and ability to come up with solutions that can be optimally used by various teams/stakeholders.

Provide project scoping and estimations that can be used for scheduling.

Team Player
Requirements: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience with Java / C#
- 3+ years of Python experience
- 2+ years of experience with relational databases
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience with JSON / XML
- 2+ years of experience related to performance and best practices using industry standard monitoring tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, BMC Analyzer, or LoadRunner.
- 1+ years of JavaScript experience

1+ Years of experience with Perl
Preferred Qualifications: - Managing large data stores (>1 TB)
- Strong understanding of scripting languages, standard programming, data structures, threading, operating system interfaces and Shell scripting.
- Familiarity with Wireshark, TCP, HTTP, SSL is a must.
- Working knowledge of vocabulary of networking.
- Understanding of load balancing concepts
- Understanding of Web Services/SOAP
- 1+ years
- Grafana
- Experience in Nagios and other alerting solution is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable working with different business units.
- Experience with AppDynamics is a plus
- Understanding of source control tools like git, Tortoise SVN, TFS.
