Sr. Performance Engineer Los Altos, CA Primary Data is looking for a Sr. Performance Engineer who is passionate about conducting performance tuning and testing of the end to end systems as well as various software stacks of server/storage products for performance, scalability, and reliability. As a Performance Engineer, you will play a key role in developing strategies, tools, processes, and frameworks to test and tune individual software modules, as well as the complete platform. You will be building infrastructure and developing automated tests that will push our platform to the limits, identifying limitations and bottlenecks and recommending changes for code optimization. You will do End-to-End Performance Analysis: analyze large-scale distributed systems for performance bottlenecks and optimize them for our product lines. Basic Qualifications: •   Experience with server, storage and virtualization architecture•   Experience with storage performance workload and tools: SFS, mdtest, iozone, FIO, etc.•   Familiar with various Unix performance analysis tools•   Ability to develop automated scripts for storage micro-benchmark regression test suite•   Ability to debug and isolate code changes causing performance regression•   Experience in working in Unix and VMware environments•   Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environment with multi-site teams•   BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.•   5+ years of experience in software development and/or performance engineering.•   5+ years of programming experience in Java, C, and/or Python. Preferred Qualifications:·       Experience in Python programming
