Systems Engineer Entry Level - Subcontract Requirements Engineer
Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS)is currently seeking systems engineers to support our programs based in St. Louis and St. Charles, Missouri. Our St. Louis/St. Charles site is one of our largest, most dynamic sites with a broad business portfolio. In addition to commercial and military planes, Boeing designs and manufactures rotorcraft, electronic and defense systems, missiles, satellites, launch vehicles and advanced information and communication systems. This position is for a Level 1 position Supplier Requirements Engineer (SRE) within the Systems Engineering function. This unique role requires an understanding of engineering processes and the ability to communicate engineering requirements into a contractually sound technical document. Responsibilities include:
- Working closely with other engineering disciplines in an integrated team environment to develop procurement specifications and statements of work for a variety of complex systems.
- Performs stakeholder needs analysis, technical measure definition, and requirements analysis, allocation and definition.
- Uses the structured requirements process to ensure requirements are clear, unambiguous verifiable and affordable.
- Develops and implements systems engineering processes for organizations in Phantom Works and other business units when appropriate.
- Performs cost vs. requirements trade studies, cost driver analysis, and analysis of supplier cost proposals using parametric cost modeling techniques
- Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to assist with analyses, design, development and verification of a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
- Assists with analyses to evaluates customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
- Assists with various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.

Assists with analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success. - Experience developing supplier requirements is a plus
- Engineering Bachelors Degrees: Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
