The challenge

Adobe Primetime is a group of very successful products focused around the delivery and monetization of Video content to mobile devices, worldwide! We are the E-to-E engine that powered Winter and Summer Olympics (since 2014), March Madness Live (2014-now), World Cup 2015, The Oscars, and many other hugely popular live sporting and social events! As part of the Service Reliability Engineering team, the ideal candidate will be part of a technology team that builds solutions for a global audience.

What you’ll do

  • Work with product engineering team to understand the functionality of the product, and work with the DevOps team to build solutions around rapid and continual deployment.
  • Develop configuration management packages that enable rapid release and scalable deployments
  • Create systems and processes to ensure demanding service levels are met
  • Coordinate releases with Development and QE
  • Manage Incidents in conduction with Client Care
  • Work in an agile operations framework, balancing sprint based work with daily operations needs

  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation What you need to succeed

  • Advanced Experience with Linux, Internet Protocols, and Large Scale Operations leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Working Experience with LAMP, Python, SaltStack, HBase, Hadoop, Kafka, and ITIL processes
  • Some Experience with Akamai a plus
  • Location Preference in order: San Francisco, San Jose, Lehi
  • Media and Entertainment knowledge
  • Primetime products work together to drive viewership on mobile devices, and to expand the possibilities of TV Everywhere initiatives. We look for candidates who can talk to their experience in media and entertainment, or related engineering or DevOps capacities with skills that demonstrate:
  • Working in a multi-vendor solution
  • Using monitoring services to ensure four 9’s availability
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements, at state, Federal and International levels Making our technology accessible to all
