At SugarCRM, we recognize that customers require deployment flexibility. We have a long history in hosting on behalf of customers – this goes back nearly to the company’s founding. As our customers have achieved success and grown, the breadth and depth of features and compliance they require from a hosted solution has also scaled up.

Today, deployment flexibility allows our customers to host On-Premises, either directly or through partners, as well as in our SaaS offering Sugar On-Demand.  Each of these hosting options is used by many thousands of customers around the globe.

As the Senior Cloud Product Manager (PM), you will help shape SugarCRM’s next-generation of Cloud products and services.

Product Managers at SugarCRM are more inbound than at many Bay Area companies. We believe we have the context to make this statement since we all have prior experience at other companies. PMs here work with Marketing and Sales and regularly speak with customers and partners to define requirements. Our PMs also get to operate down at the Jira ticket and participate in the SCRUM team. This makes PMs very important to our success and empowers them. They can truly influence priorities, scope, and time.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Ideal candidates should have direct experience working on application-level Cloud technology in a PM role (ideally for a SaaS or MSP business model – working on infrastructure for Cloud but not at the Cloud is less relevant for this position). Success in Product Management generally requires that one has an ability to influence others. That’s particularly true in this case as Cloud requires outside-the-box thinking both technically as well as culturally. You may know the destination but you need to keep the crowd on the bus so we can all get there. The successful applicant must have 1) the business acumen to help further shape our Cloud strategy, 2) the technical depth to distill this into actionable chunks, and 3) the project management expertise necessary to keep projects focused. This will be highly visible both internally and externally with strong executive support. At this time, SugarCRM is not sponsoring immigration for this position.

Relocation to the San Francisco Bay Area will be supported for the right candidate.
