Data Warehouse Developer at Pursuant (Dallas, TX)
The Data Warehouse Developer will be a key support member of the Data Services team. The top objective is to build database solutions that give Pursuant clients a competitive edge. This role will focus on loading large quantities of data in a short amount of time helping both clients and strategic internal leaders identify hidden insights. The Data Warehouse Developer is a key partner with the data analyst team to support reporting, analysis, predictive models, visualization and dashboards. The technology currently in place is a Microsoft SQL Server solution.

Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, and/or Business with related experience
- 3+ years in software development
- 2+ years in database developer roles
- 2+ years supporting data consolidation, data acquisition, ETL, SQL IDEs and/or business intelligence solutions; Experience SSIS preferred
- Working knowledge of conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling; dimensional modeling preferred
- Industry focus in and/or passion for nonprofit desired
- Solid SQL, stored procedures, database triggers, views and other database manipulation languages/methods; Microsoft preferred
- Strong experience in at least one RDBMS platform (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, etc.); Microsoft SQL Server preferred
- Knowledge of reporting technologies (e.g., SSRS, Jasper, Tableau, etc.); Hands on experience preferred
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and enthusiastic about learning new tools & technologies
- Ability to adhere to work plans and track assignments with minimal guidance
- Solid oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Skills in Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint, Visio, Word and Excel
- MCSE: Business Intelligence certification a plus

- Partner with team members to formulate, implement, test and validate ETL solutions

- Work with data analysts, client account managers, and client resources to understand the scope of work, priorities, and requirements for the data solution
- Proactively follow standard system processes and enhancements to system; Ensure that solution design adheres to good design practices; Accountable for designated area of solution quality
- Support solution processes (e.g., data loads, aggregation processes, enrichment, historical analysis, etc.) as part of standard daily work load to complete client commitments
- Build data solutions with a strong focus on reusability; leverage work across multiple client environments
- Identify data issues and drive improvements in data hygiene
- Contribute to defining time tables and project plans
- Understand and work with data in varying degrees of complexity and scale
