The Infrastructure Architect is responsible for the provision of technical expertise and architectural solutions in infrastructure, hardware, hosting service and network areas.The Infrastructure Architect will be responsible for the support and ongoing maintenance of the different identified architectural priorities and this under the guidance and supervision of the Operations Manager.

  • Acts as expert for infrastructure in the plan, design, and delivery of IT solutions
  • Advises team members of IT technology standard requirements, methodology and processes.
  • Drives short & long term architecture strategy for the overall IT project portfolio for key business segments.
  • Participates in proof of concepts to assist in defining technology direction and enabling business strategy.
  • Conducts end-to-end technical plan design.
  • Provide support in developing long-term strategy for historical data retention and archival plan for storage needs.
  • Provide support in defining data retention, backup, and recovery methods and plans.
  • Acts as expert for the development of enterprise standards to ensure compatibility and integration of multi-vendor platforms.
  • Designs and develops infrastructure blueprints for the implementation of new solutions.
  • Responsible for impact analysis and design modifications to existing systems to support new solutions.
  • Develops specifications for interfaces from existing to new systems.
  • Maintain a common documentation library of standardized procedures and configurations
  • Provide third level support for incidents and problems in designated areas of expertise.
  • Communicate and collaborate with local IT staff as well as colleagues in other parts of the world for configuration, troubleshooting
  • Effectively interact and communicate with business partners
  • Can consolidate requirements and translate them into IS deliverables
  • Understands and adheres to company’s quality management processes and practices
  • Familiar with quality evaluation methods such as user acceptance testing (UAT), unit and integration testing, etc.

  • Working knowledge of quality assurance methods, tools and techniques
  • Can describe and interpret quality indicators relevant to own unit or function
  • Has a 5+ years’ experience in a production IT environment managing enterprise IT infrastructure, hardware, hosting service and network areas.
  • Ability to write architecture design documents or review design documents provided by others.
  • Knowledge and understanding of industry trends and new technologies and ability to apply trends to architectural needs.

  • Is able to handle complex projects (technically complex and/or multiple stakeholders & involved teams)
  • General network knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, DNS/DHCP, VPNs…)
  • Strong working knowledge of VMware or other virtual software
  • Strong knowledge in disc storage technologies
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • A broad architecture domain knowledge (vision, design, projects, implementation)
  • Ability to keep a holistic overview but at the same time can take a deep dive into technicalities when required
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
