The SAP Innovation Center Network is a strategic innovation entity within SAP. In nine locations around the globe, it combines the best of two worlds: the creativity and agility of startups with the backbone of a world market leader in business software. The Innovation Center Network is driven by the collaboration of more than 450 engineers, designers, product experts, and business developers.

You will work together with a team of dedicated experts including researchers, business developers, developers and dev ops engineers with a single goal of building best machine learning services for a variety of use cases spanning commerce, financial markets, and procurement. You will work against fixed timelines and your success will be measured by the ability to deliver solutions matching the performance of top notch research prototypes. You will belong to the platform team, whose responsibility it is to provide a foundation for services offering machine learning functionality. It is expected that you take full technical ownership for the deliverables of the team, including responsibility for technical and architectural aspects.

Your tasks include:

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Define, configure & maintain deployment/delivery pipelines of Machine Learning microservices in SAP’s cloud infrastructure
  • Work together with development teams to improve the overall development productivity
  • Install & Manage RDBMS and NoSQL databases
  • Efficiently automate cloud operations
  • Perform agile prototyping to evaluate which solution fits best for cloud operations
  • Perform zero-downtime deployments across multiple globally distributed landscapes
  • Maintain high-availability, performance and scalability of microservices
  • Good understanding of operational challenges such as capacity planning, load balancing and infrastructure monitoring
  • Operational knowledge of at least one Linux distribution such as Redhat, Ubuntu, CentOS, CoreOS
  • Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools such as Chef, Puppet, terraform, cloudformation, Ansible
  • Hands-on experience on continuous integration and build tools like Jenkins, Travis CI
  • Experience in working with Cloud Foundry, AWS, Azure, SAP Cloud Platform or other container/PaaS technologies
  • Strong bash/shell scripting skills
  • Experience working with Git
