Cloud Operations Engineer at PeopleDoc (Paris, France)
PeopleDoc is looking for a high-performing Cloud Operations Engineer to help us meet our ambitious client support and growth objectives. This hire will join a high performing, fast-paced, centralized team in Paris.
PeopleDoc Cloud Operations Engineer is responsible for providing Level 2 Technical Support to our customers. Cloud Operations Engineer is key member of Global Customer Care / Support team. This is the go to person for Level 2 Support for all advance technical troubleshooting. Cloud Operations Engineer plays an important role by liaising between Product R&D, Product Management, Implementation team, Customer Care, and Level 1 Support team globally.
The ideal candidate for this role will come from Cloud Operations of a SaaS provider with deep understanding and appreciation of Uptime and Service Level Agreements (SLA). He/she will be highly organized, familiar with SaaS technology stack and have a very high understanding about the implications and risks of any change made. Experience managing SaaS environments, monitoring tools, and troubleshooting performance issues.

Desired Skills and Experience
- Address system alerts in a timely manner in order to ensure that Service Level Agreements are adhered to
- Working issues escalated from Level 1 support
- Analyze logs and error messages
- Reproduce issues and provide missing steps
- Escalate tickets to appropriate teams depending on scope of the issue
- Update support documentation
- Strong working knowledge of GNU/Linux and Debian
- Knowledge of monitoring technologies (similar to New Relic, Nagios, Zabbix…)
- Significant experience in basic networking protocols, including TCP/IP, HTTP, SFTP, DNS
- Python scripting experience is required, basic knowledge of Django is a plus
- Basic knowledge of SQL and regular expressions
- Able to prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment
- High consciousness of risks and implications of own actions
- High priority on learning and updating team skill set
- Organized and detailed in maintaining records of work completed
- Strong oral and written communications in English and French
- 2-4 years experience in a similar environment
