Gigamon is looking for a seasoned Systems quality engineer who will be responsible for championing Systems and Solutions view for Gigamon’s network visibility fabric manager for the embedded and virtualized data centers. As part of a growing, dynamic team, the candidate will thrive in a cross-functional team environment and will contribute to System, Scale, performance, reliability and automation efforts for achieving product quality goals.

Responsibilities:

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Provide technical expertise for the system design, operation and testability of our products with special focus on visibility fabric manager that configures and administers Gigamon products
  • Drive System testing strategy including but not limited to customer use cases with focus on scalability and performance testing
  • Deliver test automation code and help in driving improvements to our automation coverage and tools
  • Work closely with the functional test teams in developing and improving overall testing approach and strategy
  • BS in CS or related field
  • 7+ years of hands on quality, development and/or automation experience for products in networking and management software
  • Strong programming skills in python, perl, c and/or other scripting language
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs and GUI based testing
  • Experienced in various aspects of System, Integration, Scalability and performance testing
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals at all layers L2/L3 as well as L4-7
  • Good understanding of virtual or physical appliance built using Java technologies
  • Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have a true passion for delivering quality products
  • Experience with network testing equipment such as IXIA and Spirent
  • Hands on experience in testing network management products
