SUMMARY:  

You will utilize strong linux skills and work to support and further develop our AWS infrastructure utilizing a variety of DevOps tools and frameworks under the direction of your Supervisor.

You will support the Company’s development, staging and production AWS workflows.  In addition to being able to support existing systems, you will be a creative individual who can suggest and implement new solutions to complex problems. You will have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, competence in working with and implementing new technologies, the ability to think and act quickly, effective communication skills, and ability to tackle complex problems.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Administer AWS environment, Linux systems, and Apple systems, including configuration, troubleshooting, and automation
  • Provide proposals for solutions to complex problems, and bring them into reality
  • Maintain, write, and develop documentation critical to IT operations
  • Conduct security checks on existing IT systems and solutions
  • Troubleshoot day to day problems for development team
  • Continue education in areas that are beneficial to company
  • In depth knowledge of AWS cloud network infrastructure
  • Deep understanding of Linux systems and script writing
  • Strong command of Python and Ruby programming languages
  • Ability to work well in a flexible, dynamic work environment
  • 5-10+ years experience working with Linux
  • 3-5+ years experience with AWS
  • College Degree in an IT related field, or comparable experience
  • Experience working with configuration management tools like Chef
  • Extensive experience with HashiCorps products, such as Vagrant, Packer, and Terraform
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for multiple hours a day
  • Ability to constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, including but not limited to calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
  • Occasional night and weekend work are a natural part of this position and a requirement
  • Ability to travel when requested
